1. The Nassau sea wall defence

 

This picture (from Google Earth) shows a man-made reef consisting of interlocking concrete tetrahedron blocks. This structure allows the water to pass through, but absorbs the energy of the swell and waves, creating a flat water lagoon on the leeward side. Further details will follow.

 

2. Off-Shore Wind Farm

 

The establishment of an off-shore windfarm is a proposal that could, perhaps, fund the preservation of the existing sea defence.
